I was eager to gain hands-on experience in EV part design through this internship, especially with something as critical as the battery enclosure. I'm passionate about electric vehicles and sustainability, so the focus on using recycled materials really appealed to me. This experience gave me valuable insight into real-world engineering—understanding safety standards like AIS 038 and crash requirements, and how benchmarking helps set practical design targets. I learned to balance strength, weight, cost, and manufacturability in the design, particularly using recycled aluminum. Planning simulations and building the 3D CAD model step-by-step taught me how to think like a practical engineer. This project has prepared me well for interviews by giving me a solid example of a complete engineering process—from research to design and validation. I can now confidently discuss EV battery safety and sustainable design challenges. The mentorship from Satish Sir was incredibly helpful in guiding me through technical decisions. I'm truly grateful to Leameng Solution Technologies for this opportunity.
